Tear off about 18 inches of floss and wind most of it around one of middle fingers, leaving an inch or two of floss to work with. Hold the floss tightly between thumb and index finger, using index finger to guide it. Gently insert the floss between teeth, using a zigzag motion. Curve the floss around each tooth, making sure to go beneath the gumline. Gently move the floss up and down against the side of each tooth, making sure to clean the entire surface. Use a clean section of floss as move from tooth to tooth. Repeat the process on the rest of teeth, including the back sides of last molars.
